@Sàn Art
Sàn Art opens its space for a special video art exchange in collaboration with Kyoto Art Center, Japan, introducing video works by Ishu Han, Yoshinori Niwa and Hanae Utamura. Eager to discover new facets and uses of video, our programme includes a series of documented performance pieces, a video essay, a social experiment and a documentary.
Launched in 2023 by Kyoto Art Center, Video Journey aims to foster sustainable institutional exchange where local art practices from around the globe can easily be disseminated and shared through the digital medium of video. For this 2nd edition, the previously nominated artists Han, Niwa and Utamura were selected by Sàn Art in a curated screening programme, while their Vietnamese counterparts – Lena Bui, Nguyen Hoang Giang (Giang IT), Nguyen Trinh Thi, Phan Anh, Xuan Ha – showcased their work in Kyoto.
