Biography

Tran Tuan (b. 1981)  grew up in Hue, graduated  from Hue Fine Art University in 2006. He opened a lacquer factory named Then Studio which later became Then Café. His practice is influenced greatly by the untold stories of his family.

Tran Tuan started creating artwork from 2010, and participated in a number of exhibitions such as  “Nang Bong Nhe Tech” in 2011, exhibition “May bien the” in 2012 and exhibition “Nam Hoang De” in 2013. His recent series ‘2 forefingers’ was chosen for Singapore Biennale 2013
