Sàn Art is seeking your help to support its local artistic and creative community.

On September 18, beginning at 6.00 PM, Sàn Art will hold an opening fundraising reception. This exhibition will be viewable from September 4 – 27.

Established in October 2007, Sàn Art is the only artist-run space in Vietnam with a dedicated forward programme showcasing works by local and international contemporary artists. Focused on nurturing the development of contemporary Vietnamese art, Sàn Art has also continued to offer evening programmes and talks by visiting artists, writers, curators and scholars who have shared their personal experiences and knowledge with its ever-growing audience. Sàn Art is financially operated through private donations and external grants on a project-by-project basis, and most recently through the small sales of exhibited works.

This fundraiser is made possible through the support of established and emerging Vietnamese contemporary artists from home and abroad, whose works have been generously donated. This exhibition aims to raise funds, through sale of donated artworks, to enable the future sustainability of Sàn Art – as an exhibition platform, a reading room, a facilitator and creative meeting place for the contemporary and experimental art in Vietnam.
