IN PROGRESS
KHAI MẠC
Opening: 29.09.2018@4:00pm
Location: A. Farm
96/1 Tan Thoi Nhat 6, District 12
A. Farm would like to invite you to IN PROGRESS, an open-studio event celebrating the launch of our new residency programme. This is the occasion for A. Farm to formally introduce its resident artists Trâm Lương, Nguyễn Kim Duy, OLDKID, Ed Smyth, Nguyễn Đức Phương and Paul Weiner to the public. Artist studios will be open to the public for one day only, where audiences are invited to see the residents’ work-in-progress, engaging with the development of the artist’s space rather than its final product. Meanwhile, the rest of the facility will be turned into an expanded studio. Here artists and performers are invited to showcase experimentation and process in their practices. IN PROGRESS will also include performances in the exhibition hall, theater rehearsals on our outdoor stage and an ongoing mural in the courtyard while cocktails will be served by the N°1 artist-favorite Cù Rú Bar in the kitchen.
This is also an OPEN-CALL to ALL PAINTERS, GRAFFITI ARTISTS, PERFORMERS, DANCERS AND MUSICIANS who wish to contribute to the event on the 29th of September. A. Farm welcomes all artists to present their medium in a large-scale “work-in-progress” concept. Painters are invited to appropriate our walls while musicians and performers can take over our stage and courtyard in a free-style / street performance format. Please note that A. Farm is not equipped with any special lighting or sound system; you are welcome to bring what you need, or better, to improvise with the space!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
If you are interested in showcasing your practice whether it is dance, graffiti or music, come to 96/1 Tan Thoi Nhat 6, District 12 on the 29th of September from 2pm onwards. Space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who wish to visit the space beforehand, please come to the address above on the 27th and 28th of September from 2-8pm.
OPENING & HOURS:
The event will be open to the public on the 29th of September from 4-10pm ONLY.
