Sàn Art invited our colleagues and audiences to participate in a performance with artist Ly Hoang Ly on Tuesday, November 28. As an open-ended conclusion to her open studio, the artist and participants walked together, opened up and carried on stories about the aesthetic and social values of performance art, about the possibilities of displaying and experiencing public works of art. Participants were encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes, and come along with a spirit of playfulness and openness.
Promenading from Sàn Art to verdant parks in the city, the “hope – memory tree” returned to the public space where its spirit belongs to. More than a reminiscence of green ascendants dissolving into the sky together with the collective memory of the local and urban landscape; the promenade generates/rethinks the tangled tree – human – urban space relations.
