Having taught Economics at universities in Hue and Saigon before 1972, then being a lecturer at Nanyang University (Singapore) and an economic expert in Canada and the U.S, Nguyen Truong provides a general viewpoint about primary emerging political and international relation affairs in the world nowadays in this book. Based on the context of his career path, the author takes the U.S as the rotating axis to analyze the happenings in the 21st century, such as the new Imperialism, the Middle East, the new Chinese dream, the counterpoise Asia-Africa and Europe-America, the problems about natural resource, energy and climate change… The book has more of a synthetic media commentator’s style than a profound academic research. And reasonably, it should be called “Asia-Africa-Latin America” in relation to the U.S in the 21st century’.
